Curran's Pet Sitting/Juggling Daisy Pet Care Consultants
In running my own very busy Dog Walking/Pet Sitting business since 2003, I have assisted many clients in the Westchester County, NY towns of Rye, Rye Brook, Port Chester, Scarsdale, White Plains, Harrison, Mamaroneck & Larchmont, as well as Greenwich, CT. Over the years I've gained an enormous amount of experience and knowledge, both through 'hands-on' daily pet care and dog training as well as through classes/lectures/workshops/seminars, working in conjunction clients and trainers and through ongoing research of my own.
After the very painful task of helping a family re-home a dog they'd had for five years because they had ultimately decided it just wasn't a good fit for them, I knew that I wanted to try to make a difference for pets and humans BEFORE it got to that point. I spend a large portion of my day providing advice in person, on the phone and via email to pet parents who are overwhelmed by an ongoing problem, facing a new problem, or just realizing perhaps that impulse puppy purchase wasn't the best idea and they are now "in over their heads".
I see a need in the community for a sort of "coaching system", not only for current pet parents, but even more so for prospective and new pet parents. I've decided to share my expertise, knowledge and resources with a broader spectrum of pet owners than just the ones I am able to help out on a daily basis through routine dog walks and pet care.
I've pretty much seen it all, and I can guide you through both routine issues and the "not so routine" ones as well. The idea came to me to morph the daily pet care service into something more educational...and 'Juggling Daisy' was born.
Named after my one of my shelter dogs, "Daisy" -adopted at approximately age 12 in October of 2009 - this venture is meant to provide a service that will keep humans and their pets living together harmoniously in an atmosphere of peace, love, and functionality, with everyone safe and happy. Successful pet parents make for successful pets, and successful pets have a much better chance of staying IN good homes and OUT of our already seriously over-burdened animal shelter system.
I live with my two shelter adopted cats, Sam & Lilly, and a wonderful Malti-Poo born in 2001 named Cozy and adopted at age 10 (sadly, Daisy passed away in February of 2011). They are all wonderful, and three of the best decisions I've ever made.
